AZMerit/AIMS Testing Reminders

Dear 3rd - 5th Grade Parents,

Archway Trivium West will be administering the AZMerit state assessment between March 27 and April 25.  Scholars in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will be tested in Writing, English Language Arts, and Math.  Scholars in the 4th grade will also take the AIMS Science assessment.

For ATW's AZMerit/AIMS testing schedule, please click here.  The assessments are not timed tests, but must be completed on the day they are started.  Since assessments will be taken online, the extended testing window ensures that we are able to spread out assessments so that regular instruction may continue. Please avoid scheduling appointments for your student during their testing times.

On a testing day, please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast and gets plenty of rest so they come to school prepared and comfortable.  The night before their assessment, we recommend your child gets about 10 hours of sleep.  Please remind your child to take their time, relax, and to do their best work.  AzMerit testing should not be stressful to the student.  The assessments will help us know how much your child has learned over the course of the school year. Test results do not influence your child's grades in any way.

If you have any questions, please contact our testing coordinator, Karen Irwin, at [email protected]

The Archway Trivium West Hot Lunch program is a 100% PSO run service. That means it is run by US, the parents. If we do not have volunteers to help in the lunchroom, we will not be able to provide a hot lunch and will go back to packing lunches every day. If you participate in the hot lunch program, it is strongly suggested that you serve once a quarter. All volunteers must have a fingerprint clearance prior to serving.  Please signup to volunteer in the lunch room here:

For questions about volunteering for lunch, please contact your Lunchroom Team at [email protected].

Important Reminders for 5th Grade Parents

Trivium Prep PSO News

Our Trivium Prep PSO is excited to welcome our incoming 6th grade families!  There are many ways to get involved in supporting the PSO in the 2017-18 school year. There are several open PSO positions for the upcoming school year, as well, so please take a look!

Important Immunization Update

In accordance with Arizona State Law (ARS 15-872), students must have proof of all required immunizations, or a valid exemption in order to attend school.
It is also a requirement for 6th grade students, 11 years and older to receive the Meningococcal and Tdap vaccine. The Meningococcal vaccine provides protection against the meningitis bacteria and the Tdap vaccinprovides protection against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough).

Please provide updated immunizations to the school health office as soon as possible. It is recommended that you schedule an appointment well in advance for your child to receive the necessary vaccines prior to the beginning of the new school year.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Mrs. Aviles, our school health assistant or Ms. Cornelius, Trivium Prep nurse.
