Information for ATW PSO 5K/1-Mile Fun Run ~ Saturday, April 1, Bullard Wash Park

We are getting so excited for the ATW PSO “Run the Virtues” 5K/1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, April 1 at Bullard Wash Park.
It’s not too late to register!
If you register in person on Friday, March 31, from 3-6 PM during packet pick-up, you will save $5 on the registration fee!

Here is the email sent to all REGISTERED racers with more information for Saturday’s race:

Thank you for registering for this year’s inaugural Archway Trivium West Run the Virtues 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk.  The event will take place this Saturday, April 1st.  This year’s run will be taking you along the running paths at Bullard Wash in Goodyear (1785 N. Pebble Creek Parkway, Goodyear AZ 85395 – map).  
 
Parking for the event will be available in the Staples parking lot off of W. McDowell Road and Pebble Creek Parkway.
 
Event times are as follows:
  • 7:40am – Pre-Race Stretching Hosted by AzOpt
  • 7:50am – National Anthem
  • 8:00am – 5K Start
  • 8:10am – 1 Mile Start
Proceeds from the event will help fund the comprehensive programs at Archway Trivium West.  Your support allows Great Hearts to extend exceptional education to students nationwide.  Additional donations are welcome and appreciated through our donation site here!

Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration
You will have two opportunities to pick-up your tech shirt and bib/chip:
  • Friday, March 31st from 3:00 – 6:00pm on the Archway Trivium West Campus (2001 N. Bullard Ave., Goodyear AZ 85395 – map), or
  • Race Day packet pick-up and race day registration will open onsite at 7:00am.
Bag Drop
 
Due to the common start/finish line and the proximity of the parking we will not be offering a bag/key drop for this event.
 
Timing and Race Bibs

All StartLine Racing events are chip timed using disposable chips that are pre-attached to the back of your race bib.  You need to do nothing but wear your race bib on race day to be timed.  
 
All race bibs MUST be worn on your front torso for us to accurately produce your start and finish time.  Please wear the bib on your outer most layer of clothing.
 
Finish times will be available immediately after your complete your event on:
Course Maps with Elevation Charts
The course will feature a common start/finish line.  Both distances will feature a mix of crushed gravel path along with asphalt/concrete running path.  Please plan accordingly.
Strollers & Pets
On this course, strollers and leashed pets are allowed.  We do ask that if you run with a stroller or leashed pet that you begin at the back of the pack at the start.  As all runners are chip timed, this will have no effect on your overall time, as your time will not start until you physically cross the start line.
 
Aid/Water Stations
 
Water stations will be available at multiple locations along the course.
 
Awards
 
Age group awards will be given in the 5K event only.  We use five year age spans.  Our age groups are the following:
  • 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 & Over.
Awards will be announced at approximately 9:00am (times may change based on the number of finishers remaining on the course).
